There are many uses for closed cell foams in the buoyancy/flotation area as can be seen below. Cross-linked polyethylene foams are the most efficient buoyancy material for long-term use. The foams can be split into thin sheets or laminated up to 500mm thickness.
MICROLEN buoyancy foam is approved by the National Marine Safety Committee (NMSC) for listing on their National Register of Compliant Equipment.
Where a softer more flexible material is required we suggest the use of MICROLEN TF30LEVA foam.
